Unknown Spaces

I've been thinking a lot about boxes - limitations caused indoctrination in gender, race or economic situation. Rooms are nothing more than large boxes and in those boxes we find ourselves bound. Our box and the people we find ourselves with in them provides a framework for how we see the world.

Photographs jog our memories. Some of what we remember may be nothing but a construct of the photograph which is another visual box. What if we switched up the stories? What if the people were never in that room with space and truth skewed and all time was suspended?

Appropriated image scanned from slides taken over 60 years combined with rooms found on the internet. The rooms have no identity in and of themselves but take on life by the people who occupy them.
